We traveled to Toronto, Canada, to participate in the official event where Shopify gathers developers, partners, and leaders from its ecosystem to share the technologies, tools, and strategies that will define the platform's evolution in the coming years.
For us, as a Shopify Plus Partner, being present meant much more than attending a conference. We traveled to get first-hand knowledge of new developments before they hit the market, to talk directly with those who are developing them, and to return with a clear vision of the future of digital commerce.
Because we believe that the best way to support our clients' growth is to be where the ideas that transform eCommerce are born.

Our team in Toronto
LOP was represented by:
- Esteban Di Stilio, Co-Founder & Creative Director.
- Sergio Di Stilio, Co-Founder.
- Joaquín Ferrer, Head of Operations PMO & Tech.
Over both days, we participated in conferences, workshops, technical sessions, product demonstrations, and meetings with leaders from the Shopify ecosystem. We also took advantage of every networking opportunity to exchange experiences with partners from different countries and strengthen relationships that drive the growth of the Shopify ecosystem in Latin America.

An event to understand where Shopify is evolving
Shopify DotDev is not a commercial event.
It's where Shopify's product and engineering teams showcase how they are building the future of the platform.
Throughout the different sessions, we were able to delve into the main innovations that will mark the next stage of the Shopify ecosystem, including:
- Artificial Intelligence applied to store development and management.
- Evolution of Sidekick as an intelligent assistant.
- New tools for developers.
- Improvements for Shopify Plus and B2B commerce.
- Intelligent agents for shopping experiences.
- Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP).
- New capabilities for unified commerce.
- Evolution of Shopify's technological infrastructure.
Beyond the announcements, the true value was understanding the context behind each innovation. We heard directly from the teams developing them, understood Shopify's strategic vision, and analyzed how these novelties will impact the brands that use the platform to grow.

Meetings with those who build Shopify
One of the most important moments of the trip was the opportunity to meet personally with some of the main leaders of Shopify.
We had the opportunity to talk with:
- Harley Finkelstein, President of Shopify.
- Tobi Lütke, CEO and Founder of Shopify.
- Antonio Martínez Bretón, Head LATAM Partner Management.
- Michelle Drawert, Senior Partner Solutions Engineer.
These meetings reflect the relationship we have built with Shopify over the years and allowed us to exchange ideas, share experiences, and continue strengthening a bond based on collaboration and innovation.
As a symbol of that encounter, we presented personalized Argentine national team jerseys to Harley Finkelstein, Tobi Lütke, and Antonio Martínez Bretón.

Sharing experiences with the Shopify ecosystem in Latin America
Shopify DotDev was also an opportunity to meet with agencies, developers, and partners from different Latin American countries.
Between talks, workshops, networking spaces, and the closing Block Party, we shared ideas, experiences, anecdotes, and learnings with colleagues who, like us, work every day to grow the Shopify ecosystem in the region.
These encounters are as valuable as the technical sessions. They allow us to gain different perspectives, exchange best practices, and continue building relationships that later translate into better solutions for our clients.

What we brought back from Toronto
We returned from Shopify DotDev 2026 with much more than just news.
We brought back knowledge, new ideas, strategic contacts, conversations that will continue to grow, and a much deeper understanding of the direction Shopify is taking.
All that learning has already begun to transform into concrete actions within our projects.
It will translate into:
- New strategies for our clients.
- More efficient implementations.
- Early adoption of new functionalities.
- Educational content to share knowledge.
- Internal training for our team.
- New solutions on the platform.
Because our goal is not just to develop online stores.
Our commitment is to help every brand leverage the full potential that Shopify makes available to them.

Continuing to build the future with Shopify
More than a decade ago, we chose to specialize in Shopify.
Since then, we have accompanied the evolution of the platform, participated in its main launches, and helped companies in Argentina and Latin America grow on this technology.
Being present at Shopify DotDev 2026 reaffirms that commitment.
We will continue to invest in training, participate in official Shopify events, and bring our clients the knowledge necessary to compete in an increasingly fast-evolving market.
Because knowing the future before anyone else only makes sense when that knowledge translates into better decisions, better implementations, and better results for those who trust us.
